A History Committed to the Communities of Fairfield County, Connecticut

Stephen Rockwell Desloge - History You Can Own

Stephen Rockwell Desloge admires the 2012 exhibition of historic documents at one of his galleries. Rockwell Art and Framing’s Westport gallery collaborated with Seth Kaller, of Seth Kaller, Inc. of White Plains, N.Y., and John Reznikoff, of University Archives of Westport, to present several exhibits of historic documents, rare letters, photographs, furniture and other artifacts of enormous import to the nation’s history. Her Haven project in Bridgeport

Rockwell Art and Framing of Fairfield custom framed approximately eight pictures for the home of Nordia Black in participation with the Her Haven project in Bridgeport. The Her Haven project is a not-for-profit organization that helps secure housing for single moms. In the photo, Nordia Black delights as she opens her gift of a rendered perspective drawing of her living room; presented by Fairfield University Interior Design student Jim Metzger. The photograph was taken by Cynthia Brown Studio of New Canaan.

Hector Rosario and Steve Desloge

In January 2002 Stephen Rockwell Desloge, a long-time Wilton resident and custom framing customer, opened an art gallery as an extension to Wilton Art & Framing. This is where the Rockwell Art and Framing story began. Since purchasing Wilton Art & Framing and Norwalk Art & Framing, Mr. Desloge’s commitment to the communities of Fairfield County has grown to the six stores that make up the company today.

Giving Back to Our Communities

At Rockwell Art and Framing, we actively search for ways to give back to our communities. We are proud to be part of the Fairfield County community and relish the chance to become even more involved. We have donated picture framing for a collection of signed Broadway theater posters as part of an effort to enrich the environment of the relocated Sandy Hook Elementary School. Additionally, we donated 25 framed fine art posters for the halls of Jefferson Elementary School in Norwalk. We hosted an art exhibit to benefit Save the Children’s Asia Earthquake/Tsunami Relief Fund and an exhibit featuring Telling Our Stories, a Kenyan children’s photography exhibit to benefit an AIDS orphanage. We have also worked with local artists in an effort to raise money for the Whitney Foundation in Wilton. We also actively seek outdated artwork from our corporate customers in order to donate artwork to three homeless shelter organizations who oversee over 15 homeless shelters.

Rockwell Art and Framing has stores in Fairfield, New Canaan, Ridgefield, Stamford, Westport and Wilton. Currently the Ridgefield, Westport and Wilton locations host active fine art galleries dedicated to supporting local and regional artist communities. Rockwell’s Corporate Advisory business provides consulting services to Fortune 1000 companies, real estate property managers, and commercial interior designers throughout the tri-state area
